Colombia makes preliminary anti-dumping ruling on steel profiles from China
On December 7, 2020, the Colombian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism issued Resolution No. 242 of December 2, 2020 on steel profiles originating in China (Spanish: perfiles de acero aleado y sin alear, en lámina galvanizada y galvalume, simplemente obtenidos o acabados en frio,para la construcción liviana, no estructurales, de espesores iguales o inferiores a 0,46 mm– perfiles para drywall) made a preliminary anti-dumping ruling, and the preliminary ruling did not impose provisional anti-dumping duties on the products involved and continued the anti-dumping investigation. This case involves products under Colombian tax numbers 7216.61.00.00, 7216.69.00.00, 7216.91.00.00, 7216.99.00.00 and 7228.70.00.00. On September 2, 2020, the Colombian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism issued Resolution No. 158 of September 1, 2020, in response to the application of Colombian domestic companies CONSORCIO METALÚRGICO NACIONAL SAS and MANUFACTURAS SAS, it decided to initiate an anti-dumping case against steel profiles originating in China survey.
