European Union makes preliminary anti-dumping ruling on hot rolled stainless steel coils
On April 8, 2020, the European Commission issued an announcement to make an affirmative preliminary ruling on the anti-dumping of hot-rolled stainless steel coils (CertainHot Rolled Stainless Steel Sheets and Coils) originating in China, Taiwan, and Indonesia. The official gazette will impose a temporary anti-dumping duty of 6 months on the companies involved from the next day. The tax rates are detailed in the table below. The customs codes of the products involved are 721911, 721912, 721913, 721914, 721922, 721923, 721924, 722011 and 722012. The investigation period of dumping and damage in this case is from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. The damage analysis period is from January 1, 2016 to the end of the dumping and damage investigation period.
On August 12, 2019, the European Commission issued a notice stating that in response to the European Steel Association ’s application on June 28, 2019 on behalf of the EU hot rolled stainless steel coil producer, the European Commission , Hot-rolled stainless steel coils in Taiwan, China and Indonesia were investigated for anti-dumping investigations.
