Germany’s export of Aluminium Foil in 2019 displays the top five nations from European region

According to the World Bank and projections from Trading Economics, in 2019, the GDP of Germany was worth $3845.63 billion. The GDP value of Germany represents 3.17% of the world economy.

Aluminium foil provides a complete barrier to light, oxygen, moisture and bacteria and due to this reason, the foil is used extensively in food and pharmaceutical packaging. It is also used to make aseptic packaging that enables storage of perishable goods without refrigeration.

Germany’s Aluminium Foil industry stands strong with more than a billion-dollar export market and delivering around the world. However, the top five nations that Germany exported aluminium foils in 2019 are from the European Region.

Germany’s export of aluminium foil stands highest with France, importing for 43,521 tonnes than Switzerland stands second in the list with 41,431 tonnes, the third being the Netherlands with 22,484 tonnes, the fourth place was grabbed by Austria with 17,294 tonnes and the fifth place of the top five was taken by Belgium with 15,029 tonnes of import.

The gross export volume of Germany’s aluminium foil to the top five countries has been recorded at 139,759 tonnes and revenue earnings in 2019 from export accounted to $366.35 million.
