Ghana International Trade Commission ruled that the dumping of aluminum coils and aluminum discs from China caused losses and threats to Ghana’s domestic material market, with a dumping margin of 35.77%. The committee decided to impose anti-dumping duties on aluminum coils and aluminum discs produced or imported from China. The scope of collection is: Customs code HS 7606.91.10.00 aluminum plates and strips with a thickness of more than 0.2 mm.

On May 8, 2019, Aluworks submitted an application to the Ghana Commission to investigate suspected dumping of aluminum coils and aluminum wafers produced or imported from China. Aluworks is a Ghanaian aluminum coil and aluminum wafer manufacturer, so the application is regarded as a domestic industry complaint in Ghana.
