On April 3, 2020, the Korea Trade Commission issued an announcement to initiate the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation of H-section steel (HSections) originating in China. The dumping investigation period is from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019 The damage investigation period is from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019. The case involved products under the Korean tax numbers 7216.33.3000, 7216.33.4000, 7216.33.5000, 7228.70.1010 and 7228.70.1090.

On July 30, 2015, South Korea began to formally impose anti-dumping duties on Chinese H-beams, and reached price commitments with some Chinese companies involved. The measures are valid for 5 years.
