U.S. makes first ruling of carbon steel alloy wire rod countervailing review
On March 30, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued a statement saying that the first fast sunset review of countervailing countermeasures against carbon steel alloy wire rods imported from China (CarbonandCertainAlloySteelWireRod) was final. The products involved in the case continued or reoccurred with a subsidy of 178.46% ~ 193.31%. The U.S. coordinated tariff codes for the products involved are 7213.91.3011, 7213.91.3015, 7213.91.3020, 7213.91.3093, 7213.91.4500, 7213.91.6000, 7213.99.0030, 7227.20.0030, 7227.20.0080, 7227.90.6010, 7279.90 .6020, 7227.90.6030 and 7227.90.6035 products and some products under headings 7213.99.0090 and 7227.90.6090.
On February 21, 2014, the US Department of Commerce initiated an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation on carbon steel alloy wire rods originating in China. On November 13, 2014, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement to make final anti-dumping and countervailing rulings on carbon steel alloy wire rods originating in China. On December 2, 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement to initiate the first sunset review investigation of carbon steel alloy wire rods imported from China.
