As per the statement of one of the main manufactured of aluminum in Spain, Alcoa Corporation, this company couldn’t keep affording a high electric bill as know because with the costs the prime aluminum produced by this enterprise in its plant of San Ciprián (or also known as San Ciprián), in Lugo, Spain.

According to reliable statistics, the average costs of electricity have been lifted from EUR 35/Mwh (megawatt-hour) between 2013 and 2017 to EUR 50/Mwh between 2018 and 2019.

Lastly, the representative of this company has affirmed in the press conference that it’d be impossible to keep manufacturing prime aluminum if the Spanish government insists on this high level of the electric bill in 2020.
