The U.S. International Trade Commission makes the third final sunset review of ferro-vanadium alloy anti-dumping on industrial damage

On July 28, 2020, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to make the third sunset review of anti-dumping on ferro-vanadium alloys imported from China and South Africa (Ferrovanadium). Within a reasonably foreseeable period, the substantial damage to the domestic industry caused by the import of the products involved may continue or recur. In this ruling, all five US International Trade Commission members voted affirmatively. According to the final ruling, the current anti-dumping measures in this case continue to be effective.

On December 26, 2001, the US Department of Commerce initiated an anti-dumping investigation on iron-vanadium alloy imports from China and South Africa. On January 28, 2003, the US Department of Commerce formally imposed anti-dumping duties on iron-vanadium alloy imports from China and South Africa. After the United States made its first anti-dumping sunset review affirmative final ruling on the above-mentioned products involved, the United States extended the anti-dumping duties on the products involved for the first time on December 19, 2008. After the United States made the second anti-dumping sunset review affirmative final ruling on the above-mentioned products involved, the United States extended the anti-dumping duties for the products involved for the second time on February 18, 2015. On January 2, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement to initiate the third anti-dumping sunset review investigation on iron-vanadium alloy imports from China and South Africa.
