Pakistan makes final anti-dumping ruling on tinplate in China
On May 31, 2019, the Pakistan National Tariff Commission issued Announcement No. 53/2019 stating that the final anti-dumping ruling on tinplates originating in or imported from China, the European Union, South Africa and the United States will be decided. Since January 30, 2014 (the date of the announcement of the preliminary ruling), anti-dumping duties of 6.87%, 10.88%, 14.75% and 12.27% will be imposed on the products involved in China, the European Union, South Africa and the United States, respectively, with a validity period of three years. The Pakistani tax numbers of the products involved are 7210.1210 and 7210.1290.
On August 20, 2018, Pakistan initiated anti-dumping investigations against tinplates originating or imported from China, the European Union, South Africa and the United States. On January 30, 2019, Pakistan made an anti-dumping preliminary ruling on the case. The dumping investigation period of this case is from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018, and the damage investigation period is from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018.
