U.S. International Trade Commission makes preliminary ruling of anti-dumping and anti-subsidy on prestressed concrete steel wire strand
On May 29, 2020, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted for imports from Argentina, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, UAE and Taiwan The prestressed concrete steel strand (Prestressed Concrete Steel Wire Strand) made an affirmative preliminary determination of damage to the anti-dumping industry, and the anti-subsidy industry damage affirmative preliminary determination of the prestressed concrete steel strand imported from Turkey. Ruling that the products involved in the claims for government subsidies and dumping caused substantial damage to the US domestic industry. Based on the affirmative decision of the US International Trade Commission on the products involved in the above countries/regions, the US Department of Commerce will continue to conduct anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations on the products involved. A preliminary anti-dumping ruling shall be made before March 23.
On May 7, 2020, in response to applications filed by the American companies Insteel Wire Products Company, Sumiden Wire Products Corporation and Wire Mesh Corporation on April 16, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced Stranded wire initiated anti-dumping investigation, and initiated anti-subsidy investigation on prestressed concrete strands imported from Turkey. This case involves products under the US Harmonized Tariff Numbers 7312.10.3010 and 7312.10.3012.
